Question by fmolinapi: I have a poker showdown question for experienced players.?
I was playing a poker “cash” game-Player A bet to the river and Playert B called. Player B asked to see Player A cards and Player A threw a ten of spades on the table holding on to his other card in disgust because he thought he was beat.
Player B showed (both his cards) two pair and starting collecting the pot when Player A decided to throw his other card on the table and another player noticed he had a straight. Who wins the pot? Also, there was no dealer-dealer button deals their own cards. Read more…

Question by Flowers: Does anyone know if there are any professional Bahamian poker players who play on an International Level?
Even though I looked online and go ogled “famous bahamian poker players” like killerdozer suggested, I was unable to find any and I would like to know if anyone of you knows any professional Bahamian poker players personally?

I’ll be honest, I’ve heard of Hold em poker.
I’ve heard of Stud Poker
I’ve heard of Draw Poker
I’ve ever heard of Strip Poker.
I’ve never heard of Bahamian Poker.

Probably came from the fact that Poker originated from four men playing the game on a Mississippi Riverboat in 1832.

I have this image in my head of a black and white movie (I don’t think it’s a TV show) about a man and woman playing cards. Something else is going on in the room, I think. The woman puts down her cards and says “Gin”. He then turns to her and says “we’re playing poker”. Does anyone know what movie this is from? It’s driving me nuts! Read more…
